I was looking online for information on the ancient practice of alternate nostril breathing, also known as Nadi Shodhana Pranayama, as I had heard some pretty positive things about its ability to calm anxiety. It really is amazing the little gems one can find in the web world if you just look hard enough! This one though felt like I’d just found the needle in a hay stack.. like I’d found the one lotus in the whole valley..No longer do you have to travel to Tibet to receive a genuine lesson from a real teacher! What a time we live in!
After having my own powerful experience of the amazing calming effects of this breathing method and practice, I realized I needed to share this with others. If done correctly and used at the right times, (much more than just taking a few deep breathes!), this practice can be as an effective tool to work with getting off of prescription medication for anxiety and depression, and it is also a useful meditation for energetic clearing to add to your already existing practice.
